Whether it is drinking the ultimate pint, pairing wine and food matchings, searching for the superlative g&t, or hunting down the perfect pub, we’ve always debated over what we’ve enjoyed the most. And having spent a large amount of time discussing these matters down the pub and in our homes, we have decided to share some of our musings with you discerning readers.
Inspired by the renaissance in craft brewing we want to share our thoughts on all things drink related, predominantly this means beer (with a good helping of wine and a dash of spirits). There will be a decent opinion to fact ratio, however it is your job to figure out which is which.
We will endeavour to waffle on about any or all things drink related. and along the way we would love to hear your opinions, especially if you disagree us so we can think of some witty put downs.
So please, join us for a drink and a lively discussion.
I am lucky enough to have a career in the drinks business but my passion and interest has been with me for quite some time. I have been on the hunt for a good pint for many a year! My primary loves are the beers of Belgium and the wines of France however my interests grow and expand with every new bottle I open. I would be lying if I said I had a favourite beer but a bottle of Straffe Hendrik Triple or La Chouffe will always put a smile on my face! I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you and hearing yours!
Unlike Mike, I don’t work in the drinks industry, I’m just here to force upon you my thoughts on drinks, pubs and bars in London. As well as this I hope to share my alcohol-soaked food recipes and my arguably lethal cocktail ideas. I will never say no to a pint of a strong craft beer although my favourites are always changing, from a Brugse Zot Blonde to a Rogue Dead Man’s Ale. I’m always on the look out to try the latest and new beers from the established breweries to the new microbreweries currently popping up all over London, and I intend to share my experiences with you.
